A classic pud, cheap & easy to make-what more could you want?!
Serves 2-easily doubled! Approx 50p per person.
Prep 15 mins Cooking 25 mins
2 cooking apples
2 tbsp granulated sugar
4 tbsp sultanas
knob of butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
Pre-heat the oven 180C Fan/200C/Gas 6.
Wash the apples & remove the cores. Score a line around the middle of each apple (this stops them from exploding!).
Mix the fruit & sugar together.
Fill the apples with the fruit & sugar mixture then place in an ovenproof dish. Top each apple with a small knob of butter then spoon over the syrup.
Bake for 25 minutes, then serve immediately with custard or ice cream!
