Simple Smoked Salmon Pate

You don't need fancy smoked salmon for this, smoked salmon trimmings are easy to get hold of in the supermarket for about £1.50! This is nice & easy to make, & would be great as a starter or as a party dip!!

Total cost approx £2.19

No cooking, takes about 10 mins to make!

Ingredients

100g smoked salmon trimmings

150g crème fraiche

50g cream cheese

pinch of pepper

Place the salmon in a food processor & whizz until finely chopped.

Add the cream cheese & crème fraiche & whizz again until combined.

Place in a serving dish (or individual dishes) & chill.

Remove from the fridge about 20 minutes before you want to serve.

Serve with crackers, breadsticks or crusty bread!

If you don't have a food processor, just chop the salmon very finely with a sharp knife & mix everything together in a bowl!

If you want the pate a bit less runny, reduce the amount of crème fraiche by 50g.
