turkey curry burgers

This a great way to use up some left over cooked rice, I used Pilau but you can use whatever you have. Serve with salad or proper “Burger style” in a bun!


Makes 6 burgers Approx 56p each


Prep time 10 minutes Cooking time 12 minutes





500g Turkey mince

140g cold, cooked rice

½ onion, finely chopped

1tbsp curry powder

salt & pepper


beaten egg

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl with just enough beaten egg to bind together.


Divide the mixture into 6 & shape into patties. Place on a plate, cover with cling film & chill in the fridge for 30 minutes/1 hour.

Heat some oil in a frying pan & cook the burgers over a medium heat for about 6 minutes each side.


Serve immediately.
