Spaghetti with Crab & Chilli

This is a lovely light pasta dish & quick to make-perfect for a weeknight! The fresh chilli gives a nice subtle heat which works well with the lemon & parsley. You really do need fresh parsley for this but it is worth it & you can freeze any that is left over!


Serves 2 Approx £1.90 per person

  • 200g dried spaghetti
  • 1 red chilli, de-seeded & finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tin white crab meat
  • 1 lemon, zest & juice
  • a handful of fresh parsley, chopped
  • a pinch of salt & freshly ground black pepper



Cook the spaghetti according to packet instructions.

Heat some oil in a large saucepan & cook the chilli for a few minutes.

Add the garlic & cook for another minute.




Remove the pan from the heat. Drain the pasta & add it to the chilli & garlic along with the crab, lemon zest & juice & the parsley.







Toss everything together well & serve immediately.
