It's too hot.......& I don't like it.....
Apologies to those of you that embrace this weather with factor 15 & a Solero, it's just too much for the likes of me who, even with Factor 50 on will go as crispy as an air fryer chip! I've just never been a sun worshipper.
Just to clarify, I do sit in the sun (I'm not a vampire!) but I need a big parasol, hat, sunglasses & plenty of the aforementioned SPF & even then I can't sit out for too long- unless there's BBQ, I can always stick it out for BBQ! 😋🍔🌭🍗🥩
As I signed off last week you might remember that my bread machine was beeping at me...
There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread (cue Hovis ad music- 70's/80's kids will get it) & I regularly find myself trying to resist the urge to slice off the lovely crusty bit, smother it in butter & shove it in my face. Obviously I fail because I'm a normal person..
Ah the internet....what would we do without it?!! Panic & swear a lot that what! Well that's what I did this morning when I got up & realised that Alexa was ignoring me
( she's so rude sometimes-"sorry I didn't quite catch that"-pffft!) It turns out that our area has suffered a major broadband outage so obviously everything grinds to a halt, bad for businesses, homes, everything.
So, I was finally home- hoo flippin ray! At last a decent cuppa, which is exactly what I wanted when I got through the door (Yorkshire Tea- I love you!)
Now what though...? I was still recovering & getting used to my new"attachments" so I needed to take it easy, which meant no work for the foreseeable future &...no cooking.🥺
WARNING! Contains descriptions of medical procedures & pics of my manky arm & minging hospital food, plus it's loooong!
Hey everyone- yes I know, long time no see!
Now buckle up buttercup, this is long one (maybe grab a drink & a snack too). Soooo where was I? Ah yes that's it.
In my last post around this time last year I had just got a date for my surgery (nowt serious, just some "lady stuff") & I was making big plans for when I was up & about again. I had been so looking forward to being back to "normal" so imagine my disappointment when, by the Autumn, my life was about to take a drastic turn!
These quick noodles are from Home Bargains & are a fab addition to your store cupboard! Not only that but they are a snip at 59p a pack! There are two individually wrapped servings in each pack, just open & tip into a colander & rinse with hot water to separate them then they are ready to use!
I tried some last night in my Broccoli & Mushroom Stir Fry & they worked a treat!
