The Stone Food & Drink Festival is one of Staffordshire's most popular events & has become bigger & better since it started 11 years ago! It plays host to some of the best food & drink producers in the county & beyond, visitors are guaranteed a fantastic choice to try & buy.
Myself & Mr W are regular visitors & for the last couple of years Ma & Pa Cooke have joined us & this year was no exception!
Our usual routine (yes we have one!) is to have a look around first & have a few cheeky samples then stop for a little refreshment while we decide what to buy! Of course Mr W & Pa Cooke went for liquid refreshment in the Titanic Brewery beer tent first & imagine my delight when I spied a little Gin bar-well it would have been rude not to!
Food next & while Mr W went for a little Indian feast I went straight for a very generous bowl of Paella expertly made by Jose & his family from The Mill Hotel & Restaurant. A fabulous venue for a party or wedding as Mr W & I know very well as it was the setting for our own wedding in 2011!!
To complete our foodie mission it was back out to the main tent to make a few essential purchases! Amongst our hoard were scones, honey, some gorgeous cheeses from Nibble Nose & the most gorgeous little cakes & meringues from The Little Round Cake Company.
The Stone Food & Drink Festival is a food lovers paradise not to be missed so make a note in your diary for next year...no doubt we'll see you there!!
